Most S.I.M.P. issues are temporary and resolve on their own within a minute. If you’re seeing an error message, a blank result, or unexpectedly slow analysis, the sections below explain what each problem means and what to do about it.
You’ve sent too many requests in a short period. S.I.M.P. allows up to 30 requests in a burst, refilling at 10 requests per minute. To fix this:
  1. Wait approximately 60 seconds.
  2. Submit your prompt again.
If you’re iterating on a prompt with the Run Again button, pace your submissions to stay within the limit.
A temporary error occurred during analysis. This is a general error that can have several causes. To fix this:
  1. Click the submit button again — the error is often transient.
  2. If the error persists, wait 30–60 seconds. The AI provider may be under high load.
  3. If it continues after waiting, try refreshing the page and resubmitting your prompt.
Both the primary model (Claude Sonnet) and the fallback model are currently unavailable. This is uncommon and typically resolves quickly. To fix this:
  1. Wait a few minutes.
  2. Refresh the page.
  3. Submit your prompt again.
If this error persists for more than 10–15 minutes, the underlying AI providers may be experiencing a broader outage. Check the Anthropic and Groq status pages for updates.
Normal analysis completes in a few seconds. If it’s taking significantly longer, the AI providers may be under heavy load. What to expect:
  • A progress bar is displayed while S.I.M.P. processes your prompt.
  • Rotating status messages appear during analysis — this is normal behavior, not an error.
To fix this:
  1. Wait for the analysis to complete. Extended response times are usually temporary.
  2. If the page appears frozen with no activity, refresh and resubmit your prompt.
If the sanitized prompt appears nearly identical to what you submitted, your prompt likely scored in the Low range (1–3) and needed only minor adjustments. To confirm this:
  1. Check the risk score — a score of 1–3 means your prompt was already well-structured.
  2. Open the What Changed & Why panel to see the specific edits that were made, even if they appear small.
If you expected more substantial changes, consider whether your prompt includes enough context, scope, and constraints — or try Run Again to refine further.
Your browser may be blocking clipboard access, which is required for the copy function. To fix this:
  1. Check your browser’s address bar for a clipboard permission prompt and allow access for S.I.M.P.
  2. If no prompt appears, go to your browser’s site settings and enable clipboard permissions for the S.I.M.P. domain.
  3. As an alternative, click inside the sanitized prompt panel, select all the text manually (Ctrl+A or Cmd+A), and copy it (Ctrl+C or Cmd+C).
Your browser may be blocking the new tab that S.I.M.P. tries to open.To fix this:
  1. Look for a popup blocked notification in your browser’s address bar and click Allow.
  2. Once you’ve allowed popups for S.I.M.P., click the button again.
  3. If you can’t allow popups, the sanitized prompt has already been copied to your clipboard — open ChatGPT or Claude manually and paste it.
The Gemini button always copies to clipboard rather than opening a new tab, so it is not affected by popup blockers.
If you’re seeing persistent errors across multiple attempts, try refreshing the page and submitting your prompt again. A fresh page load clears any stale state that may be contributing to the problem.
